"ISI" The Great!

In recent times, the intelligence agency of Pakistan also known as the ISI (Inter Services Of Intelligence) has been under a lot of critisizement by the international media mainly because of its role in the “war on terror” which by many American national conventionalists is being regarded as duplicitous.

The depiction of ISI being portrayed by the international news agencies has surely raised certain question marks over its credibility and effectiveness. The ISI’s most imperative duty in this conflict is to maintain Pakistan’s influence across the border in Afghanistan so that our so called very peaceful neighbors I mean India does not get a strong hold over Afghan region and for that purpose our intelligence agency has to support certain illegal militias in order to keep its influence alive across the border. If you regard this act erroneous then I might let you know that this is what the intelligence agencies all over the world do. ISI is trying to keep Pakistan’s influence alive in the geo-strategic politics with in this region because as long as Pakistan keeps its authority with in this constituency it will continue to exist.

If the very popular “Newyork Times” calls out at ISI blaming it for playing a double game in the region then why doesn’t it blame RA&W(Indian Intelligence Agency) for continuously trying to intervene in Afghan politics and working out deals with the Afghan Intelligence. Why doesn’t it question the ever popular CIA for hauling out proxy wars in various fractions of the world in the past including the “Cold war”? The answer might readily come up that every nation has its own national interests and the agencies have to protect them.

Why ISI then? Are we not cooperating with the American agencies, I believe it’s rather the vice versa. Pakistan’s intelligence agency has surely given more than it is expected from their side and this is what qualms the world. It was due to state’s erroneous verdicts in the late 2004 which led to their strategic defeat in Afghanistan while the west censures ISI for it.

As compatriots we all must believe in our security forces rather than accusing them and their steadfastness without any proper justifications.

PAK US TIES!

Pak-US relations have touched rock bottom like never before in the history. The situation is a complete mess at the moment. It is now being asserted by many analysts as well as by the dialogue of top notch US officials that Pakistan will no more be a part of the “Afghan Reconciliation Process” in upcoming future and its indications are quite visible by now.

The question here is why? Why United States is ramming Pakistan out? The fault is mainly ours. After the departure of Musharraf’s government, the present government has not been able to live up to the expectations of neither its public nor states. Secondly the way our military institutions have been exposed by the international media has surely made many people from our military establishment dejected and ISPR’s recent statement over Newyork time’s propaganda against Pakistan’s security agencies and a cut in our military aid has surely created a huge gap between the bilateral relations of both the countries. Thirdly and most importantly the usage diplomatic doors has minimized to a great extent after Qureshi’s departure which I believe is a major concern as our neighborhood is quite popular for using its diplomacy in the best possible way internationally.

What we are seeking now is an alternative. China will be asked to jump in to keep US aware that we are not completely a US-dependent state unlike Egypt and others. President Zardari will work through his contacts to get Russia into play but that’s not going to happen as Russians have to worry about US operations in Central Asian states now and Iran has middle east to look into.

I sincerely hope that Pasha’s visit to US cools things down so that we can focus more on what imposes a greater threat to our sovereignty i.e Terrorism and religious fundamentalism.

The only point which scares me off now is the fact that now even Karzai is showing eyes/balls! to Pakistan and if we don’t take probable actions in bringing things back to normal then who knows may be India replaces us in the “Afghan reconciliation process”!

Pakistan First.

Pakistan is going through the worst of its times. A fact that we all must accept as being realists. The killing of Bin Ladin and several attacks on Pakistan Naval forces including the recent attack over PNS Mehran Base, Karachi has surely raised lots of questions over this country’s security and armed forces. I won’t be going into the details of the attacks as I believe those talk shows coming on our TV channels should be more than enough to fulfill your desires for listening to the conspiracy theories related to the attacks.

My focus is the bigger picture! Where do we stand today after all these sufferings? I believe we are definitely on the wrong ends at the moment. Our national integrity is on stake and somehow we are responsible for it. The international media is raising some serious concerns over country’s national security and military capabilities. We have to answer the world!

The thing which again pinches me is that how can we answer the world when we ourselves are unaware of the hypocritical attitude that many people possess within our leadership and establishment. We all know quite well that there is somehow a soft corner for these militant groups among few within our armed forces and country. This attitude has to be sorted out. We have to stand as a nation against these organizations before it is too late. It’s just not about killing terrorists now , we have to change mindsets now in order to survive this wave of religious fundamentalism and fanaticism . Secondly we have to stop the very popular “blame game” and have to focus over taking responsibility of our acts and deeds. Unfortunately we lack these credentials by far the standards that Islam possesses.

We can see Imran khan putting up “Dharnas” over Drone Attacks but we do not see any of these “Dharnas” against the religious extremism prevailing within this country. We can see Nawaz Sharif coming over television and talking over the lack of credibility that this government has but we do not see him condemning such coward attacks made by these terrorist organizations with in our country every day. Many regard Gen Kayani and Pakistan Armed Forces as their heroes but sorry to say after what has happened in Karachi in past few weeks even that ray of hope seems to diminish. We call Zardari sahib a very “refined” politician but as being the President Of Pakistan he has been unable to protect our national sovereignty!

To be honest the situation at the moment depicts as if Pakistan is on sale!

What should be done?

The best way out is to act. Let’s act against this cancer which is spreading throughout our society called “Terrorism”. We just can’t rely on conspiracy theories, we are wrong at certain places. We must accept our blunders and move on for a prospective future rather than seeking in the past for nothing but old school theories. My concern is not President Zardari nor Imran Khan nor The Generals living in DHA schemes , my concern is PAKISTAN. The world has set its eyes over us! Please ACT before …………………

Bin Ladin Departs....Suffering Starts!

Osama Bin Ladin is dead! A news which surely shook everyone of us as soon as we heard of it. The news broke as The President Of The United States Of America came on live on t.v late night(American Standard Time) announcing the death of Bin Ladin in Abbottabad,Pakistan which was later being welcomed by most of the world.

It was the 2nd of May, around 1:00AM(Local time) in Pakistan when two helicopters carrying US marines soldiers landed outside a 10 canal house in Abbotabad and conducted a forty minute operation there and then left with one helicopter being destroyed. After several hours the news broke that Bin Ladin has been killed by special marine forces in Abbotabad, Pakistan and later on we got to know the details of the further casualities.

Now, the question which I have been asked by few is that was it really Bin Ladin who was killed? Or is it all a mere drama? I believe the news is correct, it was Bin Ladin. The reason why I say this is due to the fact that Al Qaeda has confirmed that Osama Bin Ladin has died today and secondly the DNA results have also matched according to the white house correspondant.

The other query which all of us are having is about the role of our government, Intelligence agencies and military establishment! What were they doing? Did Pakistani forces participate in the operation? Was there intelligence sharing in this regard? Or our whole establishment was unaware of the situation?. The answer is Yes! Our TOP government and military establishment was aware of the operation and it somehow intentionally did not jump into the operation in order to avoid retalliation from Al Qaeda militants in future which we now have seen turned out to be the dupest of moves as Al Qaeda will now focus on Pakistan as its top target instead of states, according to their new statement.

What now? Who gets what?

As far as US goes, President Obama finally has something in his bag to stand a chance to win next Presidential elections in states. Furthermore, United states will look to carry out operations in Northern Waziristan and will pressurize Pakistan to let them carry on such tasks.

What about us? I’m afraid to say this but we are trapped. On one hand Al Qaeda has announced a direct warfare against us while on the other hand we will face a definite pressure from States for letting them carry on operations on our grounds. The other situation which further worries me is the trust deficit between both the countries and the fact that India will try to take maximum out of it which we already are witnessing.

All of a sudden we are on the back foot. Pakistan has again got itself into nuisance. The only difference is that this time it can get even worse then what happened after 9/11. We will be directly confronted by quite many forces for harbouring terrorist leaders yet again and groups which US has already mentioned lately and some how we are at war again!

Pakistan nowwould wantminimum damage and this depends upon the activities which take place in Afghanistan and the credibility of the country’ leadership in coming time.

May God bless and protect Pakistan. PAKISTAN ZINDABAD

Its All Happening AGAIN!!!

PAKISTAN!!! A country jolted by the miltary cue several times in its political history because our so called democratic leaders had better priorities then to serve our nation. The problem in such a scenario is that no one is innocent. When military takes over they say" It was for saving the derailing economy" where as when the political parties get hold of the reigns they just start making promises which never get to the stage of fullfilment!

What now then? The thing that scares me off at the moment is the current scenario which indeed needs some due attention. The government at present has passed its halfway mark and to be honest there has not been anything remarkable in the governance except for keeping MQM intact with the government.

When I see all this, the only question that strikes my mind is about the role of military establishment! Are they upto something this time again?? After listening to Ch.Nisar's(PML-N representative) 90 minutes address to the parliament, I believe YES! The military establishment is working onto something.

A few weeks back, Imran Khan(President, Tehreek-e-insaaf) met Gen.Retd Pervez Musharraf(President,APML) in London and they exchanged souveneirs. This sounded astonishing as we all know very well that Imran Khan stood to be a harsh critique when it came to Musharraf's policies after 9/11!

Why did this happen? I then focus myself to Nisar's address and BINGO!!!

We have seen it in the past that how political parties are being created by the support of ISI and the military establishment to resist the other political parties with in the country. Let it be MQM and PML-N during Zia's reign or PML-Q and MMA during Gen Musharraf's 9 year tenure. These acts surely made our military establishment achieve what they wanted to! Thanks to our to so called "Mastermind"Politicians!

The problem now is "Its All Happening AGAIN"!

Imran's meeting with Musharraf which now stands clear was under military influence and Nisar's statements which had all the anger and anxiety involved over the military intervention within the national politics surely gave many indications of what we can be experiencing in some while.

Pakistan Army doesn't like PPP nor Asif Ali Zardari, we all know it quite well. But we also know that Pakistan Army hates Nawaz Sharif!!( knowing how dumbfounded he can be at times). What does our military establishment seek now? The answer is "IMRAN KHAN"!

According to several credible analysts and the political scenario wih in the country this seems to be the mere possibility. Pakistan's military establishment has finally shook hands with Imran Khan and efforts are being made to give a boom to his political career and who knows maybe Musharraf joins the team too later !

The question most of you would be asking is why Imran? The answer is simple! The youth stands with him and with about 60% youth of the total population prevailing in the country, there could not have been a better option for the military extablishment then to go for Tehreek-e-insaf!

Its all Happening.....AGAIN!

Will The American Show Ever End?

It has been more than half a century since United States Of America has been proclaiming itself a super power in spite of the fact that the country holds the largest amount of debts in the world today. The question that most of us ask is that whether there would be a transition of power? I believe yes!

The rationale that lies behind this point is quite clear. The scenario which is shaping up in the middle east is surely not what States wanted and we could possibly see a complete US wipeout from the middle east very soon. Pakistan’s stance over davis has surely astonished many but we can see it clearly that States is losing its grip. Even history supports the fact that power is not permanent, it has to be transmitted. We have seen that after the Second World War how the vastly expanded British Empire was being brought down to a confined country called United Kingdom.

The statistics clearly depict the fact that there has to be somehow Chinese involvement in most of the American projects. We also know that states has not been able to completely come out of the financial turmoil it went into in 2008, we also know how badly USA has been suffering in carrying out its operations for its war against terrorism. As being told above a sudden revolt in the middle east has surely brought the pentagon to put their minds together and work something out.

Many believe that the middle east crisis is just another American move, it can be true knowing the fact that United States made its greatest defense sales in the middle east in the past few years but again who would pay such a heavy cost in return. The condition in middle east has made one thing quite clear that Israel stands to be a loser(which US would never stand) and Iran stands to be a complete winner. Hence we can rule out the possibility of USA being involved in creating this crisis. But again there is always a roam for conspiracy theories to come into play!

To be honest the equation is not favoring USA this time around and Obama cannot be blamed as this had to come sooner or later but unfortunately for The States it has to come now and we can soon see a new super power taking over the world.

As far as America goes my only suggestion to them is” Get Yourself Ready For The Worst”!

A Conspiracy Theory Or A Mere Truth?

Many would call it a conspiracy theory but I won't anymore. The issue of Raymond davis has surely brought many doubts to people's minds. I believe that this issue holds a lot more in it then it seems.
Lets put it this way, what ever has been happening related to this subject does not seem normal in any perspective. What are the core realities then?
It is being said that this issue is not being discussed in The White House or The President House Of Pakistan but is rather being discussed at The GHQ(Islamabad) and The Pentagon(States).
When we talk about Raymond Davis and his diplomatic immunity, the vienna convention and our national diplomatic laws state it very clearly that he has the diplomatic immunity but if he does then why isn't he provided with it by our government. It means something or someone is continuously pushing our government to resist the increasing American pressure day by day over releasing davis and as far as my experience goes our public is not capable of making the government resist the foreign pressure! Then who can it be? I believe it is the Pakistan Army! Most of you would be astonished... how?But quite many evidences direct towards it. Raymond davis is just not a mere diplomat. According to the reliable sources Mr Davis is an undercover agent for the American intelligence also known as CIA and he has been functioning along other under cover agents with in the country against the Talibans with the understanding of our government. If so then the government and the army should have left him so that along this issue these agreements which are being signed behind the closed doors could not have been brought up by the people but things are much more technical then they seem. There has been a major upholding to the fact that The local terrorist groups in Pakistan are being funded through the American Intelligence agency and it seems quite true as after davis got arrested there has been a certain decline in the suicide bombing rate with in the country.
Now lets prove the statement made above, it is quite obvious that when there is a certain problem in our electrical switches it is mostly because there is a certain problem with the connection or the network of wires, same has gone wrong here, the network got broken as davis got arrested and therefore there has not been any major terrorist activity with in the nation.
This is why Pakistan army is keeping a continuous pressure over the foreign ministry and the presidency for not giving out davis to America.
We have caught a big fish! rather a big DIRTY fish! We have all the good cards to play! I hope our government and other legal institutions play it right!

Where is Pakistan Heading Over Davis?

The issue which has surely caught the local media's headlines is that of Raymond Davis's(A US diplomat as per being told by the states department) act of killing two people in lahore.
I wont be trying to create any sentimental dilemma here but would rather be substantiating facts so that we reach up to a more logical conclusion.
Firstly taking a quick sneak back of what really happened! According to our media and other authentic sources it is being confirmed that the so called US diplomat fired at the men for self defense as they tried to raid him on motorcycle as he was in his car.
Now the situation at hand is that Mr.Davis is under police custody whereas the government of United States demands his immediate freedom.
Now speaking of the picture at hand on what basis does American government demands Davis's freedom? "Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations", an international law which clearly states under its article 29 that diplomats must not be liable to any form of arrest or detention. They are immune from civil or criminal prosecution. Hence with the international law's proceedings its quite clear that Davis shouldn't be under captivation and that is what the State's government demands.
On the other hand if being caught the diplomat can only be released once the the foreign office issues his/her immune certificate and if it does not then the foreign representative may have to face legal action but even in that case Davis will find an easy way out on the basis of "Self Defense" but the proceedings can take time.
The question that arises here is why our foreign office is not taking a suitable action to the cause. The reason is that once if they do release the foreign diplomat it would bring the government nothing else then hatred from the local public which it has already been carrying during its three year tenure and if they don't release davis and carry on with the court proceedings as being said by our President then we can surely expect something worst in return from States.
Hence after looking through all these facts and available options I would only suggest that the government should try to develop some understanding with its fellow strategic partner(USA) to give them a short period of time so that the public impact to the issue cools down and then that they could release the foreign diplomat!

Barmy MANIACS!

Why? Why do we defend those nutty horrible creatures who call themselves TTP( Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan) ? Imposing your perception onto others is not what Islam has taught us! We as Muslims have become hopeless!
Only few of us make somehow a better logic out of Islam but what else , they are rather being assassinated or are being threatened by these large bearded animals.
Javed Ghamidi, a very legitimate and renowned Islamic scholar was being forced to leave Pakistan few months ago due to the continous threats being received to him by these illiterate men who consider themselves the "Pioneers of Islam".
These cowards who think that they are doing Jihad on the name of Islam are rather creating a whole mess out of Islamic teachings! I am not a decision taker here but again I know that God wont be happy with people who killed humanity just for the fact that they had a different opinion! Let it be Taseer, let it be you, let it be me, let it be Ghamidi! Whatever opinion they hold, we don't have a right to exterminate them just on such irrational basis.
Then again when musharraf went to clean this dirt out of our country, he was hugely being criticized for it. The fact is we don't want to face the core realties or rather we are too scared if it! But one day it has to be faced so why getting it delayed? Why do we stand despair?
We have to understand that Pakistan has suffered a lot on the name of Islam and politics on the name of this mere religion by our delicate politicians!
Where are we heading? A dead end where there is no way back! Lets just think for once please!
We have taken a lot from our country, its the right time that we pay it back, Pakistan needs us..Yes it does! Lets show those fierce animals out there that no matter how much they try we wont let them succeed. Islam has suffered and so has Pakistan! Lets be united for this once!

New Year...Reviving Hopes!!(Jeet Humara Mustuqbil Hai)

So 2011 finally arrives, A lot is expected to happen this year let it be US foreign Policy and its impacts worldwide, the financial status of the world, militancy and its future, would wiki "leak" more or would CIA bring a stop to it!...Only time will tell that what has been decided behind those locked doors..
As mostly I will be keeping my focus over Pakistan's up comings in my editorial. I was skimming through a newspaper early morning and found out some predictions being made regarding this year's political activities in Pakistan by our very own astrologers, it made me laugh for awhile that what are they trying to predict whether maulana saahib would get along the present government, I guess we forgot how good a politician our President is, if he can make people living in London speak in his favor then maulana saahib wont be a tough job...
Pakistan's future, something which concerns us more then the Nawaz Sharif's long march plans cannot be predicted much, when we look at the current scenario we feel a bit hopeless about it but when we look at the statistics i.e 57% of our population is youth we say the hope is there for this nation to make it through. Looking things through an optimist's perspective I believe the potential is there to take this nation through, This decade which has just passed stood to be the most crucial one for not only the world but mostly for states like "Pakistan". I just can't count how many times did the internationally acclaimed authors or political analysts claimed that Pakistan will go bankrupt and the nation will be a "Default" state in all these times...Can you?
The point is that things aren't as worst as we make them look to be, there is a lot left...a lot left to happen , Pakistan is just not any residue state like those in Africa or those around us, the world has its eye over you people, questions are being raised over the existence of us being a nation !!!
But all those curiosities and questionings have been rightly answered by us, even after facing massive calamities we still exist and yes we will...We just have to keep that ray of hope alive with in us. I know that it has been a tough ride but somehow we are getting through it, the spirit needs to be the same... the world is ours ...we just have to be patient.
Jeet Humara Mustuqbil Hai......Pakistan Zindabad!

Remembering 90's!!!

This is not going to be some political adventure, this is some thing which I wanted to talk about..I was driving alone on a sunday eve when I heard of few Pakistani songs from the 90's on the radio and this is the reason why I am writing this article. 90's was surely the best era for the Pakistani music; experiencing artists like the vital signs, Junoon, Strings, Awaaz, Hasan Jahangir, Zohaib And Nazia Hassan, Fakhr-e-Alam and many more...It was the blend of the best which will never be forgotten.
Disco Deewane!! Yes I mean Nazia Hassan, s urely an icon for our country. Her song "Disco deewane" received great acclamation worldwide specially in our neighbors. The song made it to different night clubs across India and UK and was considered as a perfect beat to show your moves at.
*Hawa Hawa*!! The "Pop Star" Hasan Jahangir came in with this sensational hit and took many hearts away..The song took him to Bollywood where it received a great response.(I hope we all remember his kingly entrance through a helicopter in a concert)...
How can we forget "Billo"? Pakistan's pop industry cannot end with out Billo being involed..The famous hit by Abrar Ul Haq * Billo K ghur* was a major hit with in the country and did contribute to the local music scene to a great extent. The beat got popular among the young boys of that time and was being used pretty frequently in lighter contexts..
Tu mere liye Jadoo ka chiragh hai...Tu ye tou butaa paani hai k aag hai....Oops! sorry for that....How can we forget "Awaz"!!!..The trio comprising of Haroon, Fakhir and the leading guitar player in today's Pakistani music industry Asad Ahmed gave us great hits like "Aye jawan" , "Mr. Fraudy" and " jadoo Ka chiraagh" which surely rocked many hearts out there..
When we talk about Rock music in Pakistan the first name that hits our minds is Junoon!!! A band who took Pakistan's name to different parts of the world and gave out the real image of what this country is capable of by giving a new dimension to music known as "Sufi Rock",with their hits like "Neend Aati Nai", " Khudi", "Saiyoni" and the ever popular "Jazba-e-Junoon" Junoon surely influenced many other local rock bands to come in the main stream .
When we talk about "Jugni"we have to talk about Saleem Javed, another pop artist from Pakistan who did bring some great music to the country.
Speaking of good music and lyrics " Sar Kiye Pahar" and "Duur" are worth of listening.. The boys from Karachi "Faisal Kapadia" and "Bilal Maqsood"when merged formed one of the greatest sensations in the subcontinent's music industry knowns as "Strings'. Strings, now surely the most successful band in South Asia brought a new sense of music which mostly focused Pop/rock. The band still stands today and the success story goes on as they go on with their journey....
This article would completely be useless if it ends without the most highly acclaimed band in Pakistan's music industry i.e" Vital Signs", comprising of some great talent like Junaid Jamshed, Rohail Hayat, Shahzad hasan and Nusrat Husain and with their most of the songs being written by The Shoaib Mansoor ..The band touched the skies...Dil Dil Pakistan standing 3rd on BBC world music charts and giving out hits like "Aitebaar", " Wo Kon Thi" And "Sanwali saloni" Vital signs gave rise to a new era of music with in the country which they will always be remembered for..
When ever I have listened to these people I have always cherished those moments that I have spent in my childhood listening to these songs ..I would only say that those were some great times which shall always be remembered....

Wiki"leaks" Facts Or Stories???(Pakistan Edition)

The header says it all of what I am going to discuss in this article. Wiki leaks, an organization or a media agency and what not has released some highly confidential documents related to the current global scenario, decisions that were taken in locked rooms, ones we never know of and ones that are outlandish... let it be the election of our beloved President.

In the recent revelations being made by wikileaks over Pakistan in particular may sound quite heart throbbing but they do have evident facts behind. Let it be The Saudi Monarchist’s perception regarding President Zardari or let it be the fact that Middle eastern entrepreneurs are funding the Muslim Fundamentalist and terrorist organizations in Pakistan and abroad or a sudden military coup by dismantling this present government.

The credibility of President Zardari hasn’t been up to the standards a. He has made mistakes and does not hold the clearest of images when it comes to certain felonies. These aspects surely could have lead to such statements from those Saudi Monarchists over President Zardari making the leak some how explainable.

The other case in point is the sympathy being held by the middle eastern capitalists for the terrorist organizations currently functioning in Pakistan. Though our government officials disregard this fact so that the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia do not get affected in particular or for the fact that Saudi Arabia turns out to be a safe prospect(heaven) when our politicians step back from their governmental roles. But yes the case in point is that there have been certain huge funding which is being made to these militant organizations through the middle east as these groups had developed a soft corner in the hearts of these Saudi Entrepreneurs in the late 80’s.

Thirdly a military takeover? Yes the leak is true to an extent that after how the government mishandled the specifications of “The Kerry Luger Bill”, army did intervene and it did warn the government not to put on stake the sovereignty of Pakistan at any cause. Pakistan Army took a very strong notice of those unacceptable demands that this government did agree upont and took appropriate steps to put them out of the bill. This particular even could have gone up to a military takeover if the government would have challenged the army’s decision in any way.

The post affects still prevail within the government of what happened over Kerry Luger Bill but Gen Kiyani has handled the situation well by keeping things in control and letting the democratic process grow. Letting President Zardari remain in power, Pakistan army appears to have won over US and other global leaders which indeed is a good sign.

Hence I would only conclude that there is a lot to talk about but what matters the most is Pakistan and its autonomy which we can never give up and never will……..

Remembering Musharraf....

It has almost been two years since I mainly focused on the former President Of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf in my articles. But the recent header over News week's upcoming Pakistan issue " Don't Mess With Pakistan" some how urged me to right over him.

Musharraf recently gave an interview to an internationally acclaimed magazine news week which will be published later this month in which he warned the anti Pakistan elements to stop working over conspiracies against the nation or else Pakistan will make them suffer!!!

Musharraf has been hugely criticized by many news analysts and politicians in Pakistan for the fact that he made Pakistan step into west's war over terrorism which now indeed has turned out to be our war .

The former President was under the spotlight during his 9-year period in office. Many regard his period as a revolution in Pakistan’s political and economic history while certain faction believes that what we are experiencing today was being sowed during his times.

I have been a keen supporter to Musharraf’s policies and his deep concerns over Pakistan’s global position. The Retd General is currently heading a political party with the name of “ All Pakistan Muslim League” with an ambission to bring prosperity to Pakistan.

In his recent interview to the News week he looked quite aggressive with his approach regarding Pakistan’s sovereignty. He notified the fact that Pakistan has the potential to overcome any crisis it is facing or may face in upcoming future.

I believe a libertarian like Musharraf holds the potential to change things around for Pakistan. He has done it before that’s why the local religious extremists do not like him much neither do the national political parties.

I found Musharraf different because he thinks “Pakistan comes first” unlike others who do shout out loud that “Pakistan Khappay” but they never mean it.

Musharraf did bring a lot of hope to Pakistan in his era and I believe that’s a great achievement for a leader.

Hence being someone who wants Musharraf back in this system I would just say that we truly miss you sir. May God bless you.

Crucial Times...

The nation is going through turbulent times. Pakistan is living on the edge these days. Let it be India's immoral motives against Pakistan ,the international pressure over different issues, Flood victims rehabilitation process, downsizing economy or the recent bombings in karachi and other major cities of the country, Pakistan is suffering...badly.
Recent analysis show that these are one of the most difficult times that Pakistan has ever faced in its history. But the point in case here is that Pakistan has been through such times before. The war of 65 and 71, conditions after the nuclear launch or 9/11 or even the external pressures, the nation did survive and it prospered.
US President's recent business trip to India was being regarded as not a major threat to Pakistan's relations with USA and Obama rightfully played it well but in the end speaking to Log sabha(Indian Parliament) he did speak out few contradicting statements which did discourage few hopes in Pakistan like India's positive role in Afghanistan which indeed is not as positive as it was being told by President Obama.
Rehabilitation for victims of flood affected areas is another major challenge ahead of this country and the government.
The war on terror is another major issue which has to be addressed in a more structured manner as was done in swat and areas along.
India's motives have been quite evident of the fact that what can we be made go through in coming days, fundings to militant groups in Pakistan, stoppage of water flow to Pakistan, blaming Pakistan on almost everything even if a child in India gets his lollipop stolen Pakistan must be blamed!!!.
The issues related to sports specially cricket are getting out of control every day. Hearings over Salman butt and Amir's cases and Zulqurnain's acts surely need an attention forcing the governing bodies to restructure the whole board.
International pressure over different issues has also been a worry for this country. The sanctions imposed by IMF may sound scary but their implementation makes things worst as being explained by Joseph E Stiglitz.
Hence a lot is to be handled and it has to be handled right. Pakistan holds the experience of making through such extreme situations and it rightly will once the will is there ...will to change....

Pakistan Heads IAEA (International Atomic Nuclear Agency)

Ansar parvez, Head of Pakistan's Atomic Energy Commission has unanimously been elected as the Chairman for the IAEA . Pakistan has had an opportunity to Head IAEA before once. This is the second time Pakistan has been voted as the Head of the IAEA.
Pakistan being involved into different nuclear issues including nuclear smuggling and a major threat to its nuclear assets from the militant groups residing with in the country was surprisingly welcomed by the international community and diplomats for being elected unanimously as the Head of IAEA.

Essence Of Individuality (Independence Day Message)

The word "individuality" holds very deep meanings within itself. The basic connotation to this word is the "distinctive character" of a person which distinguishes him from another person.

It has been 63 years to our independence and somewhat a struggle for survival . I know we have lost a lot in these years but why looking at the darker side of the picture?? One thing that we forget every time is that we saw, we realized and we learned from all what has happened since Pakistan took birth. The only thing needed is the implementation and it can be easily done once we all realize the "Essence Of Individuality", the strength we hold as an individual with in ourselves.

The concept of "Khudi" laid down by Iqbal clearly visualizes what we are capable of as being an individual. How beautifully he has depicted the potency of an individual through his words....
Khudi ko ker bulund itna,
Ke hur tuqdeer se pehle,
Khuda bunde se khud puche,
Bataa teri raza kya hai.

The war of 1965 against India is an apparent evident to it. We lacked in force and resources but we had that belief with in ourselves ,the sense of individualism that existed inside us proved all the odds wrong and yes we stood victorious.

We have a faction of examples put down by our own heroes in this regard.Let it be The great Quaid-E-Azam himself, Iqbal, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan or the lights of the Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas and Major Aziz Bhatti. These male protagonists believed in themselves and in their fate and therefore they proved to be the better ones with their epic acts.

The belief that we lost in ourselves has to be regained and with hefty of examples mentioned above we all know that its possible. We are the tomorrow of this nation. The time is right...the moment is here....Pakistan needs us...Lets stand up and make our motherland proud of us.

Pakistan's Contributions Must Be Recognized.

It has been a misery for under developing nations like Pakistan who have sacrificed a lot for critical global issues and when it was time to recognize their efforts, the world turned its back over them leaving them helpless in their own world.
Pakistan in particular has been a major victim to this cause, If we go through the global history of the past few decades we will find out how badly the position and the importance of Pakistan has been compromised by the international community which has brought nothing but hollow gaps in between the relations of the world especially the west with Pakistan.
I can put in frame various references to support my case at hand but I guess history itself is the best evidence we can have over this issue.
The war on terrorism presents a clear cut picture of what has been happening to the third world nations on the name of saving the humanity. Pakistan heavily contributed along United States Of America during the 80's but was left alone after the cold war knowing the after effects of the events which are now evident to us in the form of terrorism.
Hence after 9/11 Pakistan was again brought in a condition in which it had no choice then to fight for the whole world against the worst dilemma of the 21st century i.e Terrorism.
Pakistan yet again stood on the fore front for the world to fight against the militants and their malevolence. Not only this but Pakistan has been a major victim to this disease. Pakistan has lost 3,117 security forces members in the world's struggle against terrorism. According to the rough statistics around 30,000 casualties have been reported in Pakistan during war on terrorism and the suffering still continues.
Keeping in mind of what has been mentioned above one may find it quite astonishing it he/she sees a government leader from a country like United Kingdom claiming that Pakistan has been supporting these militants and is somehow funding them.
I believe releasing such statements will yet again start creating gaps in the bilateral relations of the west with Pakistan and will act as a demoralising agent for Pakistan in its efforts on the war against terrorism.
We have seen healthy realtions between the west and Pakistan during Musharraf's era and now we know it that its possible on the basis of common understanding.
There fore I believe that contributions made by Pakistan should be recognized equally rather then being criticized on basis of certain baseless facts given by the self proclaimed biggest economies in South Asia.

This time for AFRICA.

The FIFA world cup 2010 has finally taken a start off, and what could have one expected, this time it is not taking place in europe neither in the south or north american region, for all the football maniacs out there this time its for Africa.
The least expected South Africa is hosting this year's football world cup and being a bit critical regarding this year's venue, certain issues have arisen like small crimes, local weather and environment. As far as the crimes are concerned there have been news regarding robberies from tourist's hotel rooms, for which the government has taken certain measures. Secondly the weather around the country is quite cold which could bring in some health issues.
But yet again there are many positive aspects that lie aside by taking this year's world cup to South Africa which include lethal issues like racism and the importance of Africa in todays world.
Hence all we can hope for is another exciting world cup and this time its all for AFRICA.
